چکیده
Abstract Infectious diseases of skin wound–based bacteria are a considerable issue that often hinders the wound closure, thereby delaying healing process. The use dressing based-renewable polymers with natural essential oil could overcome deficiencies wounds. In this work, dressings from carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC)/quaternized starch (MS-Q188) in presence antimicrobial cinnamon (CIEO) nanoemulsion were prepared. Three variable ratios CIEO (i.e., 1, 3, and 5 wt.%) forms used to fabricate CMC/MS-Q188 bionanocomposites. resulting bionanocomposites investigated by XRD, FT-IR, SEM. mechanical, hydrophilicity, barrier properties evaluated, outcomes which demonstrated tensile achieved. However, water vapor, oxygen affected when added matrix. migration polymer components tissue cytotoxic effect cytotoxicity assays. showed cell viability was located range ~ 92–100% even at all studied concentrations, indicating there no cells. inhibitory effects on different pathogenic microbes also verified. developed open opportunities for their smart biomedical applications.

Objective(s): Among herbal oils, cinnamon bark oil has several advantages such as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity. It is already reported that particle size of oil droplets affects their properties such as their antibacterial activity. In this study, we investigated inhibitory activity of cinnamon oil products including bulk, microemulsion (ME) and nanoemulsion (NE)...
متن کاملFabrication, Characterization, and Evaluation of Bionanocomposites Based on Natural Polymers and Antibiotics for Wound Healing Applications.
The aim of our research activity was to obtain a biocompatible nanostructured composite based on naturally derived biopolymers (chitin and sodium alginate) loaded with commercial antibiotics (either Cefuroxime or Cefepime) with dual functions, namely promoting wound healing and assuring the local delivery of the loaded antibiotic. Compositional, structural, and morphological evaluations were pe...
